The former multiple world title holder who is currently the president of Golden Boy promotions has a long history of struggles with alcohol and substance abuse and having checked into the facility, he will not be able to take part directly in the World Boxing Council or the WBC Welterweight Championship match between the titlist Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his protégé Saul Alvarez.
